The Offer
Our Technology Risk team consists of numerous specialists who provide our clients, renowned banks and financial institutions, with audit and advisory services on the assessment and management of IT risks as well as data security and confidentiality.
As a Junior Assistant in Technology Risk, you embark on an exciting journey into the world of organisations in the context of information technology alongside your studies. Full of curiosity, you learn and apply your growing knowledge at various national and international financial institutions. As a collaborative team member, you feel comfortable both physically and virtually and work closely with inspiring colleagues locally and worldwide. You begin to find your way in the network and support Assistants, Seniors, Managers, and Partners in the efficient and effective execution of assignments. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you build your expertise and grow step by step into your role. Your journey is characterised by a willingness to learn and a readiness to contribute to the success of your clients and your team.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the team in auditing IT controls of various financial institutions in a highly regulated environment (e.g., FINMA-supervised banks and insurance companies) within the scope of specific IT audits and/or IT advisory assignments (audit of IT General Controls, IT audits according to regulatory or group-wide requirements, IT audit projects at client request, IT due diligence projects, audits under the SOCR framework or other third-party assurance projects)
- Assisting in performing audit procedures to ensure they meet audit objectives, learning the significance of each step
- Helping document audit projects while adhering to deadlines and audit standards, including our global audit methodology and best practices, under the guidance of experienced colleagues
- Contributing to the preparation of audit reports presented to clients and other parties
- Utilising data-driven audit tools and analytics solutions (e.g., EY Helix) and gaining initial exposure to topics such as cloud, SAP, artificial intelligence to make IT audits more efficient and insightful
- Working closely with the audit team, maintaining open communication, and continuously updating senior team members on assignment progress
- Participating in a training programme to continuously develop your personal skills and expand your knowledge in IT audit
What We Are Looking For
- You are at the beginning or in the middle of your bachelor’s degree in (business) informatics, business administration, or a comparable field (university/ university of applied sciences).
