As a Senior Network Engineer, you specifically develop our network environment further, drive automation forward, and design solutions that meet the demands of our customers today and tomorrow. Senior Network Engineer
Your Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the stable operation of our infrastructures and services
- Further development of our IP/MPLS, Voice, ACI, FTTH, and DOCSIS platforms
- Active involvement in topics such as monitoring, security, and network automation
- Planning, design, and implementation of network architectures focusing on stability, scalability, cost efficiency, security, and automation
- Evaluation of new technologies and development of architecture and operational concepts
- Definition and implementation of technical standards, best practices, and security requirements
- Technical responsibility in infrastructure and network projects as well as close collaboration with internal departments and partners
- Analysis of complex faults and sustainable resolution of incidents in 3rd-level support
- Participation in on-call duty (24/7 availability) on a rotational basis with the team
Your Skills
- Completed studies in IT/Telecommunications or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in engineering, operation, and architecture of complex network infrastructures
- Very good knowledge of routing, IP/MPLS, security, monitoring, and automation
- Experience with access technologies FTTH or DOCSIS as well as Cisco and Huawei infrastructures is a plus
- High degree of personal responsibility with the aim of aligning technical solutions with business benefits
- Active collaboration with various stakeholders and departments as well as positioning as a competent, visible technical contact within the company
- Strategic perspective, operational implementation strength, and pragmatism in complex technical issues
- Clear communication and the ability to convey technical topics understandably and concisely
- Decisiveness and a good sense of balance between stability, innovation, cost efficiency, and business benefit
- Driving licence category B
- Very good German and good English skills
