For the Platform Engineering & IT Operations area, we are looking for an experienced leader with strategic foresight and deep technical understanding who will take holistic responsibility for our network, security, and communication platforms and develop them with a future-oriented approach. In this role, you will assume key responsibility for the secure, resilient, and highly available infrastructure of a modern bank and shape its future – from hybrid network architectures through cyber security to modern connectivity and communication services.
Your tasks
- Responsible for the network, security, and communication platforms from a strategic and operational perspective
- Further develop a modern, secure, and scalable network and security landscape for a hybrid bank and cloud infrastructure
- Define and implement standards for network security, zero trust, connectivity, remote access, and secure communication services
- Ensure stable, highly available, and audit-proof operation of all network and security services
- Drive automation and standardisation in the infrastructure and security environment (e.g. infrastructure as code, policy automation, observability)
- Work closely with compute platforms, IT operations management, and IT architecture to develop harmonised overall solutions
- Lead and further develop an interdisciplinary engineering team and promote a modern engineering and security culture
Your profile
- Completed university degree in computer science, information security, or a comparable technical field
- Several years of experience leading complex network, security, or infrastructure platforms
- Proven leadership experience of large, interdisciplinary teams (25+ employees) including building, coaching, and developing leaders and specialists
- Deep technical expertise in enterprise networking, firewalls, network security, zero trust, identity and access management, and hybrid cloud architectures
- Solid experience with modern infrastructure and security standards, automation, and modern operating models
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements as well as security, risk, and compliance frameworks in the banking or financial environment
- Very good German and English skills (at least level C1)
