At the Institute for Production and Supply Chain Management (PSCM-HSG) of the University of St.Gallen (HSG), we combine excellent research with close collaboration with leading industrial companies. As a Student Assistant, you will support our Smart Manufacturing & Services team in service and business development projects within industrial companies.

The PSCM-HSG researches and develops future-oriented solutions for production and supply chain challenges in industry, combining scientific excellence with strong practical relevance.
Our research group Smart Manufacturing & Services works with global companies to evolve their role from pure product providers to service and solution providers and to successfully commercialise service-oriented business models.
Your tasks
- Project support for research and individual projects with industry partners in the areas of industrial services, business development, and sustainability
- Conducting market, competition, and customer analyses as well as supporting the development of business cases and service portfolios
- Preparation, facilitation, and follow-up of meetings and workshops with company representatives
- Creation of presentations, project documents, and result reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Support in operational project management (structuring work packages, scheduling, tracking tasks)
A regular presence on site in St.Gallen is preferred to enable close teamwork.
Your profile
Professional
- Enrolled student, preferably at Master’s level; motivated Bachelor students are also welcome
- Strong interest in industrial companies; a technical background is helpful but not required
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, and confident use of MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)
Personal
- High initiative, structured and reliable working style
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanour when interacting with internal and external contacts
- Openness to quickly engage with new topics and contribute own ideas
