Administrative Assistant – Residence and Services
Office for Migration and Civil Law | 80–100 % | Chur
The Office for Migration and Civil Law currently employs 230 staff at over 20 locations and is responsible for the entire range of tasks in the field of migration, i.e. in particular the granting and withdrawal of permits, accommodation and care, enforcement of expulsions as well as integration. In addition, identity cards for Swiss nationals are issued, naturalisations are carried out and supervision of civil status authorities is exercised. The headquarters of the Office for Migration and Civil Law is in Chur.
We are looking for an administrative assistant for the Office for Migration and Civil Law from 1 September 2026 or by arrangement. The position is initially limited until 31 December 2027.
- Recording, managing and checking data from the asylum sector
- Data entry and maintenance in connection with foreigner permits
- Issuing work permits
- Creating tables, statistics and reports
- General correspondence and statements
- Providing information at reception/counter as well as by telephone
- Completed commercial or equivalent vocational training
- Professional experience in the commercial field with appropriate further training
- Independence, personal responsibility and decisiveness
- Team spirit, careful and precise work
- Fluency in oral and written communication
- Empathy in dealing with different cultures and life situations
- Foreign language skills are an advantage
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word as well as a generally high affinity for IT
