Junior Business Development Manager, 100%
Business Development shapes the future of Herzog & de Meuron. The team identifies new project opportunities worldwide, works closely with partners and the CEO, and accompanies projects from the initial idea onwards. As the first point of contact for new clients, Business Development stands for strong relationships, clear positioning and sustainable growth.
As part of the 5-person BD team, you will report to the Head and your main tasks include:
- Independently assessing and following up on new project opportunities in the DACH region
- Responding to project enquiries and contacting potential new clients in the DACH region
- Preparing internal decision-making materials and documents for management
- Coordinating with the Proactive Lead, partners, PDs, Legal and other internal teams
- Monitoring the BD mailboxes as well as coordinating deadlines, handovers and follow-ups
- Maintaining the DACH pipeline, opportunity status and next steps in Salesforce
- Preparing client meetings, presentations and reference materials
- Operational coordination of EOIs, RFQs and RFPs as well as support in content preparation
- Researching and reporting on relevant market trends
Your profile:
- Master's degree in architecture or a comparable field
- At least three years of relevant professional experience, ideally in an architectural firm or in business development
- Strong communication skills, confident in presentations and open to team exchange
- Proficient in MS Office and Adobe InDesign
- Experience with CRM tools, especially Salesforce
- Very good German and English skills, French is an advantage
- Interest in international projects and experience in German-speaking markets desirable
