Expansion of Meal Service
The meal service is a service of the Obesunne Foundation for elderly people in Arlesheim. So far, meals have been delivered twice weekly. To serve a larger clientele with lunch in the future, from 1 September 2017 meals will be delivered from Monday to Friday to customers' homes. The 4-course menu options include: regular meals with meat, vegetarian meals, diabetic meals, and light meals. The price per lunch is 16.50 Swiss francs.
You deliver the meals with your own car. You have time for regular assignments and take these on reliably. You decide your personal regularity yourself. Volunteering is a gain for all: you facilitate social contacts. People with age-related limitations live independently at home longer. The voluntary helpers can exchange experiences and meet new people. Once a year, the helper team at Obesunne is invited to a dinner. Travel expenses are reimbursed by us and emergencies are covered by our liability insurance.
Currently, we are looking for additional volunteers. Meal delivery drivers who complement our existing team.
