About the job

The meal delivery service is a service provided by the Obesunne Foundation for elderly people in Arlesheim. Until now, meals have been delivered twice a week. To serve a larger customer base with lunch in the future, from 1 September 2017 we will deliver meals to customers' homes from Monday to Friday. The options for a 4-course menu are: standard meals with meat, vegetarian meals, diabetic and light meals. The price per lunch is 16.50 Swiss francs. We are currently looking for additional volunteer meal drivers to complement our existing team. You enjoy interacting with elderly people and like to take time for a chat. You deliver meals using your own car. You have time for regular assignments and commit to them reliably. You decide your own personal regularity. Helping out is a benefit for everyone: you facilitate social contacts. People with age-related limitations can live independently at home for longer. The volunteers can exchange experiences and meet new people. Once a year, the volunteer team is invited to a fine dinner at Obesunne. Fuel costs are reimbursed by us and emergencies are covered by our liability insurance.
