About the job

• As a Senior Physician, you will take on a clinical-operative leadership role in the Department of Urology with broad involvement in outpatient and inpatient patient care as well as your own consultation hours.
• If suitably qualified (management training, habilitation), there is the possibility of co-leading the department.
• You will independently perform demanding urological procedures across the entire operative spectrum and participate in the further development of operative urology.
• As the responsible senior physician, you will supervise and instruct assistant and senior physicians and ensure high quality in interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• You will be involved in training and continuing education, especially in teaching operative techniques and major urological procedures.
• You will participate in the department’s senior physician duties (specialist on-call or emergency service).

• You have a completed medical degree or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised by MEBEKO, the specialist title in urology, and preferably additional subspecialty titles, a cantonal professional practice licence (BAB) or meet the requirements for it.
• We expect solid experience in endourology; competence in laser enucleation of the prostate is desirable.
• You have experience in major urological (oncological or reconstructive) surgery, either robot-assisted or open.
• You have several years of professional experience as a specialist at a central or university hospital.
• You have very good German language skills (C1).
• You are characterised by strong teamwork, resilience, social competence, communication skills, a sense of responsibility, and enjoyment in training young colleagues.
