Administration Manager
Office of Culture, Archaeological Service | 60% | Chur
According to the cantonal law on nature and landscape protection, the Archaeological Service of Graubünden (SAG) is responsible for the protection and preservation of the canton’s archaeological heritage. Each year, SAG carries out between 80 and 100 projects aimed at documenting, through archaeological excavations and building archaeology analyses, archaeological sites and buildings of great historical value threatened or destroyed by construction measures. For the successful completion of these projects, professional administration of SAG’s personnel and finances as well as up-to-date case file management are also essential.
Therefore, we are looking for an administration manager starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Tasks
- Independent organization and management of the secretariat, including archiving of files (GEVER) as well as handling mail and telephone communications
- Preparation and management of the budget in collaboration with the cantonal archaeologist
- Monitoring budget directives and invoicing, managing the KWF creditor workflow
- Project accounting, including billing of program agreements with the Confederation
- Personnel administration
- Review and calculation of monthly reports and expenses of all employees
- Co-organization of meetings and other service events, including minute-taking
What we expect from you
- Solid commercial training (commercial apprenticeship, business school, or professional maturity) with extensive continuing education and sufficient professional experience
- Precise and reliable working method and ability to handle stressful situations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong IT knowledge as well as insight into the use of new tools
- Fluency in German; knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
