About the job
From 1 January 2027, we are offering a versatile internship position at the Winterthur Libraries. The internship lasts 2 years, with an option to extend. It is aimed at individuals pursuing or completing a Bachelor, Master, or MAS degree in Information Science.Your Tasks
- Advising and supporting guests in the two district libraries Hegi and Oberwinterthur
- Assisting in the area of media usage and collection maintenance
- Active participation in the further development of services (e.g. use of the Digital Library)
- Assisting with events and projects (e.g. opening of the new Oberwinterthur library)
Your Profile
- Student in a Bachelor, Master, or MAS degree in Information Science
- Communicative personality with a strong customer orientation
- Enthusiasm for public libraries and their development
- Particular interest in collection maintenance and the mediation of digital media
- Very good IT skills, especially in MS Office
- Willingness to work at weekends
