Project Manager Biodiversity and Landscape Quality
Office for Agriculture and Geoinformation | 80-100 % | Chur
The Office for Agriculture and Geoinformation is a department of the Department of Economic Affairs and Social Affairs. It comprises the four divisions of Agricultural Measures, Structural Improvements, Surveying and the GIS Competence Centre.
The Agricultural Measures division is responsible for implementing the federal agricultural policy in the canton of Graubünden. It ensures the lawful payment of direct payments to agriculture and thus makes an important contribution to the preservation and sustainable development of Graubünden agriculture.
In the area of Land/Ecology, as Project Manager you will undertake work in the fields of biodiversity and landscape quality, further develop landscape quality and networking projects, and act as a contact person for questions from farm managers, specialist offices and external contractors. In addition, you support the team with GIS-related questions and applications.
We offer you a varied and responsible role in the cantonal administration. You will work in a competent and motivated team where a service- and goal-oriented corporate culture with short decision-making paths is cultivated.
We are looking for a motivated Project Manager Biodiversity and Landscape Quality (80-100 %) for the Land/Ecology area in the Agricultural Measures division from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Management, implementation and further development of projects in the fields of biodiversity and landscape quality within the framework of the enforcement of direct payments to agriculture
- Responsibility for the correct accounting of biodiversity and landscape quality contributions
- Participation in the further development of the agricultural data system LAWIS Plus as well as in technical and professional tasks with the geographic information system ArcGIS Pro
- Professional training and support of external specialist offices
What we expect from you
- Completed studies at a university or university of applied sciences in agronomy or environmental sciences or a qualification as an agricultural technician HF with professional experience
- In-depth experience with GIS applications, ideally ArcGIS, as well as a strong affinity for digital specialist applications and processes
- Understanding of the concerns of agriculture as well as the ability to develop practical solutions taking into account agricultural production, enforcement and biodiversity promotion
- Teamwork skills, communication strength as well as confident and target group-appropriate communication of specialist topics
- Analytical and networked thinking
- Independent, structured and proactive working style as well as organisational skills
