About the job
Your career in process engineering plant design | Your future at HINE
HINE is a dynamic, growth-oriented company shaping the future of process engineering plant design. At our location in Münchenstein, we develop customised solutions for complex industrial plants in demanding projects across various industries – always with the aim of achieving technically convincing, high-quality, and sustainable results.
We rely on a structured working method with Front-End Loading (FEL) and use modern methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) to maximise efficiency, quality, and planning reliability in our projects. Our engineers work interdisciplinarily on solutions that range from the initial idea to successful implementation at the customer.
To strengthen our engineering team, we are looking for you – a motivated and eager-to-learn mechanical engineer who wants to apply and further develop their technical knowledge in challenging industrial projects. If topics such as design, mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or the development of technical systems excite you and you want to take responsibility in diverse projects, you are exactly right with us. We offer you the opportunity to develop professionally according to your interests and strengths and to take on a central role in our projects as well as at HINE.
The position is suitable for both career starters and engineers with initial professional experience.
In this varied role, you will work on the planning and realisation of demanding industrial plants and develop technical solutions for a wide range of tasks in plant engineering. Depending on your interests, strengths, and experience, you will deal with topics such as design, plant planning, piping systems, technical equipment, spatial plant planning, or the technical design and evaluation of components and systems. You will accompany projects from the first concept ideas to successful implementation, develop your professional expertise in a targeted manner, and increasingly take on responsibility in your field.
Your tasks
- Development of innovative solutions for demanding industrial and process plants
- Planning and design of plants, apparatus, machines, piping systems, and technical components
- Creation and further development of technical concepts, 3D models, drawings, and engineering documentation
- Analysis of complex engineering issues and evaluation of various solution options regarding technology, economics, and feasibility
- Participation in the specification, selection, and integration of apparatus, machines, and plant equipment
- Carrying out technical calculations as well as supporting design, evaluation, and optimisation
- Conducting surveys and technical coordination at customer sites
- Collaboration with customers, suppliers, and interdisciplinary specialist disciplines within HINE
- Accompanying projects from the first concept idea through detailed engineering to successful implementation
- Ensuring complete and up-to-date technical project documentation
- Building expertise in different areas of plant engineering according to your interests, strengths, and development opportunities
Your profile
Professional qualifications, experience, and skills
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering sciences, or a comparable engineering discipline
- Good knowledge in one or more of the areas of design, technical mechanics, materials science, thermodynamics, or fluid mechanics
- Interest in technical systems, industrial plants, and complex engineering tasks
- Enjoy analysing technical issues in a structured way and developing sustainable solutions
- Initial experience with CAD, design, simulation, or engineering software is an advantage
- Initial experience from industrial internships, working student activities, study projects, or theses is welcome but not mandatory
- Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business and customer visits
Personal strengths
- Analytical thinking and interest in technical contexts
- Structured, careful, and independent working style
- High willingness to learn and motivation to continuously develop professionally and personally
- Self-responsibility, reliability, and enjoyment in taking on responsibility
- Team spirit and enjoyment in collaborating with colleagues, customers, and suppliers
- Clear and professional communication in a technical environment
- Interest not only in developing technical solutions but also in implementing them successfully.
Our offer
- Exciting and varied projects in industrial plant construction with direct practical relevance
- A motivated team of experienced engineers who actively share their knowledge and support your development
- Structured onboarding as well as targeted professional and personal development
- Opportunity to take on your own technical work packages, customer contacts, and project responsibility early on
- Insight into the entire lifecycle of industrial plants – from the first idea to successful implementation
- Digital and modern technologies to solve demanding engineering tasks
- Modern corporate organisation with short decision-making paths and room for initiative
- Direct collaboration with customers, suppliers, and interdisciplinary specialist disciplines
- Individual training opportunities and promotion of your professional development
- Flexible working hours model and family-friendly working conditions
- An open, appreciative working environment where performance, commitment, and ideas are valued
- Diverse development and career opportunities within HINE
