Forchbahn AG is a locally rooted railway company providing services indispensable to the Pfannenstiel region. Every fifteen minutes, we safely transport people from the countryside to the city of Zurich and back – day after day, almost around the clock.
What awaits you
- You lead the Track Project Management department professionally, personally, and financially
- In doing so, you lead and support a team of internal and external client representatives and promote employees according to their functions and abilities
- You are responsible for quality assurance of project dossiers and coordinate the projects among each other and align them with maintenance
- You actively support project portfolio planning and take on tasks related to financing, as well as reporting to the Federal Office of Transport, the executive management, and the board of directors in close cooperation with the infrastructure division management
- You represent the Forchbahn client towards municipalities, the canton, the Federal Office of Transport, and other stakeholders appropriately
- You continuously develop processes and guidelines in project, risk, and cost management and ensure their successful implementation
- You prepare decision-making bases (concepts, plans, key data, presentations) and present them
- You communicate precisely and appropriately both orally and in writing
- You think analytically, networked, and are able to develop innovative and viable solutions in complex situations
- You bear overall responsibility for infrastructure projects from strategic planning through design to realisation (SIA phases 1 to 5)
What you bring
- University degree as a civil engineer (Bachelor or Master), further education in management and/or law is an advantage
- Experience in railway and/or civil engineering as well as a solid understanding of legal and business management issues
- Several years of experience in managing demanding infrastructure projects in the public sector
- Practical experience in approval procedures as well as dealing with authorities and political decision-makers
- Persuasiveness, negotiation skills, and confident handling of different interests
- Entrepreneurial thinking, assertiveness, and enjoyment in leading employees
