80-100%, from 01.02.2027 or by arrangement
Your work environment
With over 1000 employees, the University Geriatric Medicine FELIX PLATTER is one of the leading institutions in Switzerland for geriatric medicine, psychiatry and rehabilitation. With us, the highest medical competence and genuine empathy come together – become part of our dedicated team!
Our geriatric psychiatry specialises in dementia, delirium and neuropsychiatric disorders. In an interdisciplinary and interprofessional treatment setting, we care for people with cognitive impairments and pronounced psychological and behavioural symptoms. Geriatric psychiatry is part of the Department of Dementia Disorders, which also includes the Memory Clinic Basel and the Dementia Research Centre. In close collaboration with the Memory Clinic, we are involved in the further development of diagnostics and therapy for dementia diseases. This includes biomarker-based diagnostics and new disease-modifying therapies such as Donanemab for early Alzheimer’s disease. We work closely with colleagues from geriatrics, neurology and internal medicine as well as the Delirium Unit. Joint ward rounds and interdisciplinary case discussions enable comprehensive psychiatric and somatic treatment even in the presence of pronounced comorbidities. The Dementia Research Centre and the connection to the Department of Biomedicine at the University of Basel offer you the opportunity to participate in clinical and translational research projects and to contribute your own questions from patient care.

Senior medical leadership of an interprofessional ward team with responsibility for differentiated, evidence-based and patient-centred treatment
