The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the heart of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment. The office of the districts Hinwil, Meilen, Pfäffikon and Uster runs a regional school social work centre. On behalf of schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social workers.
For the management/specialist support of school social work in several municipalities in our region, we are looking for a manager (65%) from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement. You will be part of the four-person team of the regional SSA office and the workplace is located in Wetzikon.
You will lead the school social workers personnel-wise and/or professionally and manage cross-municipal specialist groups to network the school social workers among themselves and with school-related services. You will collaborate with school management, the kjz (Child and Youth Welfare Centres) and other specialist agencies. You will make an active contribution to the development of school social work and youth welfare in the region and participate in the steering groups of the respective municipalities.
- Professional or university degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
- Several years of solid professional experience in school social work, counselling and leadership training advantageous
- High competencies in prevention, crisis intervention and child protection
- Negotiation and communication skills, confident presence, good oral and written expression
- Enjoyment of remote leadership and excellent self-management
