About the job
The Local History Archive is the official documentation centre of the Wetzikon city administration. It documents the history and present of the city of Wetzikon and collects, indexes, and preserves written, pictorial, and audiovisual sources. In the course of the ongoing reorganisation of Museum Wetzikon and the Local History Archive, we are looking for a committed specialist.
Archive and Collection Specialist 50 – 60%

Your tasks
- Evaluation and acceptance of collection items
- Archival indexing, management, and long-term preservation of documents and collection objects
- Clarification of provenance and copyright
- Collaboration in digital indexing, mediation, and long-term archiving
- Assistance with administrative and organisational tasks
Your profile
- University degree in archival science, collection management, or equivalent professional experience
- Practical experience in archives, documentation, or collections is an advantage
- Knowledge of professional standards and methods of archiving and preservation
- Affinity for IT applications, databases, and digital archive systems
- Interest in prevention, conservation, and long-term preservation
- Precise, structured, and independent working style
- Team spirit, sense of responsibility, and organisational skills
- Interest in the history of the city of Wetzikon
