At the Baden Cantonal Hospital, usage is constantly changing: wards are relocating, rooms are being repurposed, shared or newly furnished – both on the Baden campus with the new building opening in 2025 and at our locations in the region. You represent the interests of the client, keep an eye on deadlines, costs and quality, and understand how sensitive hospital construction is. In the real estate and facility management of the Baden Cantonal Hospital, you plan, manage and control the construction process and confidently navigate a complex environment. Project Management Client Representation 80-100%
Your Tasks
- You manage conversions, repurposings, relocations and repairs in interior construction – from inventory recording through cost estimation, tendering and offer comparison to acceptance and handover to operations.
- You act as the on-site construction manager during execution: coordinating contractors, our own craftsmen and technicians, leading construction meetings and keeping costs, deadlines and quality under control.
- You build where patients are treated: planning protective measures against dust and noise, implementing hospital hygiene and fire protection requirements, and coordinating closures and shutdowns with operations.
- You review quantities, time sheets, change orders and invoices and prepare awards and acceptances for the department management.
- You ensure complete documentation: revision plans, equipment lists and room data are maintained according to our specifications – also in Revit.
- You recognise early when a project is larger than expected – for example, interventions in the load-bearing structure, suspected contaminants or permit requirements – and report it so it can be properly managed.
- You are familiar with our buildings on site and provide condition assessments and proposals for measures for the long-term planning of the properties.
Your Profile
- You have a basic craft training and additional training as a certified construction manager or an equivalent qualification.
- You can draw and adjust plans using industry-standard software or are eager to learn.
- You bring experience in managing and implementing construction projects.
- You are familiar with SIA standards and construction project management.
- You are interested in hospital processes and their impact on construction and operations.
- You have a high degree of initiative, an independent working style and a quick grasp of matters.
- You possess negotiation skills as well as a service-oriented and customer-friendly manner.
- You work in a structured way, make clear decisions and implement them.
- You communicate confidently with internal stakeholders, authorities and external partners.
- You are interested in sustainable construction concepts as well as digitalisation topics such as BIM or CAFM.
