Transport Manager (m/f/d), 100%

Your contribution to our team

As Transport Manager and a strong communicator in leadership, you take overall responsibility for the Transport department in Wallisellen with a total of 33 employees. In a second step, you will gradually take over the professional coordination and management of transport operations throughout Switzerland with around 90 employees, as well as the cost responsibility P+L in the transport area. In this role, you report directly to the Head of Logistics Switzerland. You ensure an efficient transport organisation with consistently good quality and continuously optimise routes taking economic efficiency into account. You manage the vehicle fleet, ensure impeccable maintenance of the vehicles and monitor service planning. For this position, we require IT affinity and knowledge of track and trace systems.

Your profile

• Federal Diploma HFP as Transport Operations Manager
• Several years of professional experience in the transport and logistics environment
• Sound knowledge in the organisation and optimisation of transport processes
• Familiar with the legal framework conditions in road traffic and transport
• Leadership skills and experience in managing teams
• Confident handling of transport management systems
• Structured, independent and reliable working style
• Willingness to gradually take over responsibility for the entire transport area in Switzerland (approx. 20% travel activity)
• Driving licence category BE / light commercial vehicle (3.5 t) with trailer
• Willingness to work at night
• Fluent German and English skills, spoken and written; French is an advantage
