As a Senior Project Manager, you are responsible for the overall management of new construction projects as a general contractor, from the preparatory phase to the handover of the building to the client.
You ensure the technical, financial, administrative and contractual management of your projects while guaranteeing compliance with quality, deadline, safety and profitability objectives. As a true point of reference, you support the project teams and represent the company to clients, agents and partners.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure complete management of construction projects, from preparation to completion of works.
- Guarantee achievement of objectives regarding costs, deadlines, quality and safety.
- Manage the technical, financial, administrative and contractual aspects of projects.
- Supervise and coordinate the management and execution teams on site.
- Maintain a trusting relationship with clients, partners and agents.
- Represent the company and defend its interests throughout the project.
- Plan and direct all activities related to project realisation.
- Define the execution strategy, necessary resources and priorities.
- Develop and monitor the overall budget, control costs, margins and yields.
- Supervise the preparation, execution and closure phases of construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, legal and internal requirements (safety, environment, quality).
- Manage amendments, changes and claims in coordination with external partners.
- Ensure financial and administrative follow-up of projects (statements, situations, invoicing, reporting).
- Negotiate with clients, agents, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Control the technical conformity of works according to plans, specifications and applicable standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments (planning, methods, safety, BIM, finance, HR).
- Supervise and support site managers and foremen in carrying out their tasks.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality and performance within the teams.
- Represent the company at coordination meetings, site meetings and handovers.
You bring:
- Civil engineering degree, site manager qualification or equivalent recognised training.
- Proven experience of at least 5 to 8 years in project management, ideally within a Swiss construction company.
- Solid understanding of technical, economic, contractual and regulatory aspects.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and planning skills.
- Strong leadership, sense of responsibility and results orientation.
- Ability to motivate and unite multidisciplinary teams.
- Decision-making spirit, autonomy and rigour.
- Good interpersonal skills and strong customer service orientation.
- Proficiency in management and planning software tools.
- Good level of spoken and written French.
