The Department of Women, Children and Adolescents is tasked with providing quality care tailored to the needs of women at every stage of their lives and addressing the health issues faced by newborns, children and adolescents from birth up to the age of 18. For many years, the Department of Women, Children and Adolescents has continuously developed cutting-edge services and centres of expertise in several medical specialties.
The General Paediatrics Service provides outpatient and inpatient care for the health problems of newborns, children and adolescents until the end of their growth and contributes to health maintenance. The General Paediatrics Service is an institution recognised by the FMH for obtaining the specialist title in paediatrics.
Job Description
Your commitment is part of a comprehensive five-year paediatrics training, including one or two years in one of our partner hospitals (Hôpital de la Tour, Fribourg Hospital, Sion Hospital, Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Neuchâtel Hospital, Nyon Hospital).
It is also possible to commit for only three years, in order to obtain validation of the years in a centre A.
You will progress through a training curriculum according to a predetermined plan in the following sectors:
Hospitalisation units
Paediatric emergencies
Paediatric intensive care
Neonatology
Maternity and developmental consultation
Paediatric specialties and certain partner entities (adolescent medicine, allergology, cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology & hepatology, infectiology, nephrology, neurology, onco-haematology, ENT, orthopaedics, pneumology, rheumatology, Doctors Without Borders)
Under the supervision of the medical hierarchy, you will carry out the practical and therapeutic activities entrusted to you and engage in postgraduate paediatrics training according to the ISFM programme.
You must work in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to teaching and supervision related to a university structure.
At the end of your training, you will be ready to take the FMH paediatrics exam and have fulfilled all FMH requirements for the specialist title in paediatrics.

Qualifications
You hold a federal medical diploma or an equivalent title recognised by the Federal Commission of Medical Professions (MEBEKO).
For non-French-speaking candidates, a certified C1 level in spoken and written tests is required.
