As part of the development of asset management, we are looking for Grid Project Managers to strengthen our team in Prilly VD (Lausanne). In this role, you contribute to the success of line and substation construction projects within Swissgrid's 2025 strategic network and the Confederation's 2050 energy strategy.
Grid Project Manager Lines / Substation in Prilly (80-100%)
Your tasks
- In this exciting role, you are responsible for planning and managing projects to extend the electrical lines and substations of the transmission network
- You monitor and optimise the project portfolio assigned to you, both for maintenance and network development
- You ensure coordination between the internal Engineering team, planners and external contractors under your responsibility
- From phases 31 to 53 of the "SIA 112 service model", you assume, as overall or partial project manager, the entrepreneurial responsibility for line and substation projects
- You steer and control costs (investment validation, planning, compliance and budget monitoring), deadlines and quality, in accordance with defined objectives
- You define, evaluate and commission planning services and specialised companies, and you are responsible for the corresponding contracts
- You structure projects into clear and coherent work packages and commission and lead planners and external contractors to ensure compliance with quality, deadlines and cost criteria
- You participate in strategic, organisational, economic and technical decision-making and support management with your expertise
- You ensure compliance with occupational safety, health protection and environmental directives, thus contributing to our "Safety First" culture
- You support the Communications department in public relations activities related to your projects
Your profile
- Engineering degree (or excellent technical knowledge / continuing education in infrastructure project management)
- Several years of experience in planning, studying and realising complex infrastructure projects, installation projects or in electrical engineering
- Mastery of the SIA methodology for implementing complex infrastructure projects
- Project management certification (IPMA, PMI or equivalent) is an advantage
- Ability to delegate tasks or work packages and to steer the achievement of objectives through clear milestones
- Good knowledge of management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001)
- Ability to assume responsibilities, work in a team and independently; conceptual ease and good communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office tools; knowledge of SAP-PM or comparable applications is a plus
- Very good knowledge of French and German; English and Italian are an advantage
