About the job

The city police, with over 250 employees, are committed to a safe and trustworthy Winterthur. To complement our team in the Violence Protection Department (Threat Management Division), we are looking for a motivated policewoman or policeman to start immediately or by arrangement.

Your Tasks

Conduct preliminary examinations and risk assessments to prevent (serious) violent crimes - also involving the Forensic Assessment & Risk Management (FFA) specialist unit
Handle long-term violence protection cases in close cooperation with partner organisations
Conduct interviews with persons posing a threat and those at risk, as well as other measures to reduce risk
Develop strategies for victim protection
Provide professional and personnel support to the Investigations & Prevention main department (especially the Domestic Violence specialist unit) and other investigative services

Your Profile

Police officer with a federal diploma/certificate and at least 8 years of professional experience
High physical and mental resilience as well as holistic and networked thinking
Strong social and communication skills, confident and correct demeanour, and high team spirit
Flair for interdisciplinary collaboration with partner organisations and high perseverance
Willingness to perform criminal police on-call duty on weekends and other assignments (e.g. order service)
