Department of Civil Engineering | 60-80 % | Chur
The Department of Civil Engineering is responsible for the planning, construction, maintenance, and operation of the cantonal roads as well as water engineering and slow traffic in Graubünden. In addition, we take care of the operational maintenance of the national roads within the canton. The canton’s road infrastructure includes over 1,450 engineering structures, including bridges at dizzying heights of up to 90 meters and tunnels up to 3 kilometers long. The challenges that the nature of our mountain canton brings in summer and winter make our work demanding and versatile. We are looking for a committed personality to strengthen our team in the staff of the Cantonal Engineer from June 1, 2026 or by agreement. You will work closely with the Head of Communication. In this versatile role, you will support the internal and external communication of the Department of Civil Engineering both operationally and conceptually.
- Editing: Writing, editing, and proofreading texts for various publications (website, intranet, press releases, magazines)
- Web & Digital: Content and technical maintenance of the website and intranet as well as social media
- Design: Ensuring compliance with the corporate design across all communication media of the DCE
- Communication: Communicative support of DCE projects
- Events: Support in planning and conducting internal and external events
- Concept & Strategy: Support in developing and further developing a communication concept
- Media work: Deputy for the Head of Communication (coordination and written response to media inquiries)
- Basic EFZ training in the creative, media, or communication field (e.g., mediamatics, graphic design, interactive media design, polygraphy)
- Specialized further education in editing, text, communication, public relations or similar
- Enjoyment in writing and designing target group-oriented communication content
- Ability to prepare complex technical or professional content in an understandable way
- Basic understanding of strategic communication and public relations
- Precise, independent, and reliable working style
- Excellent communication skills (German) in spoken and written form
- Confident handling of relevant Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Good IT user skills (MS Office)
- General working language is German. Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
