Building up and continuously developing your class is a focus of your work. In doing so, you will significantly shape the violin training at ZHdK.
In collaboration with the major leadership for string instruments and in close exchange with the faculty, you will share responsibility for the further development of curricula, examination and quality development processes, as well as for the artistic-pedagogical profiling of the string instruments area. Interest in contemporary music, historical performance practice, interdisciplinary cooperation and music pedagogical issues is expected.
You are committed to training young musicians at various levels – from PreCollege through Bachelor and Master programmes – and impart to them the professional, artistic and personal skills for a successful career. In addition, you are willing to be regularly present at ZHdK.
The current faculty of artistic major professors in violin at ZHdK consists exclusively of men. In the interest of a diverse composition of this faculty, qualified applications from women and persons with other gender identities are expressly welcome. We live an inclusive culture and value diversity.
The trial lessons with a short recital, teaching lessons and subject discussion will take place on 21 October 2026 in Zurich. The short recital and teaching lessons will be conducted publicly at the university.
