Job Description
As part of the Division Controlling team, you are the central interface between Finance and Procurement within our Electrical Connectors division. In this internationally oriented role, you work closely with the Global Head of Procurement, the local purchasing teams, and Divisional Controlling, making a direct contribution to increasing the competitiveness and profitability of our division.
Your Responsibilities
- Responsibility for global procurement controlling as well as the continuous development of standardised control and reporting processes, methods, and KPI definitions across international locations
- Management of the periodic controlling cycle (budget, forecast, monthly closings, reporting)
- Execution and further development of price variance analyses (PPV), cost-savings trackers, and tracking of relevant measures across all locations and commodity groups
- Monitoring and analysing material, supplier, and purchase price developments as central drivers of the gross margin and developing decision-making bases for sustainable profitability improvement
- Sparring partner for the Global Head of Procurement, local purchasing teams, finance and supply chain organisations
- Supporting strategic purchasing decisions through sound analyses and business cases, as well as participating in supplier, cost, and make-or-buy decisions
Qualifications
- Successfully completed studies in finance, controlling, business administration, supply chain management, or industrial engineering
- Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in procurement controlling or purchasing in an international industrial environment
- Profound understanding of cost structures, purchasing processes, and margin mechanisms combined with strong analytical skills and a high affinity for numbers and data
- Very good SAP knowledge (FI/CO, CO-PA, MM; additional modules advantageous)
- Digital competence for data analytics and AI solutions to analyse material, supplier, and purchase price developments and to create predictive decision-making bases
- Very good knowledge of Excel (including Power Query) and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Qlik for analysing complex data structures, automating reporting processes, and creating meaningful management dashboards
- Communicative personality with a strong business partner mindset and a structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Fluent English skills (C1); German skills are an advantage
