The Social Affairs department of the municipality of Ingenbohl ensures the counseling of around 9,600 residents of the municipalities of Ingenbohl and Riemenstalden. We are looking for a
Social Counselor for Social Assistance and Asylum (80%)
This is what you will achieve with us
- Promotion and support of clients in their professional, social, and cultural integration through targeted and resource-oriented counseling within the framework of statutory or voluntary social assistance
- Case management according to legal regulations, SKOS guidelines, and the guidelines of the responsible authority
- Counseling and accommodation of asylum seekers, temporarily admitted persons, and persons seeking protection on-site within the framework of asylum social assistance
- Calculation and payment of social assistance according to legal requirements
- Collaboration with various authorities, specialist offices, institutions, and internal departments as well as with subsidiary service providers (e.g., scholarship office, health insurance, ALK, IV, and EL)
This is what you bring with you
- Training in social work (HF or FH) or in a related field or experience in statutory social counseling
- Knowledge of social assistance and/or social insurance law as well as asylum law
- English skills for simple counseling are an advantage
- Understanding of people in difficult life situations and interest in working with asylum seekers, temporarily admitted persons, and persons seeking protection
- High resilience, social competence, and flexibility as well as an independent and precise working style
- Good IT skills (MS Office, KLIBnet)
