ICT System Engineer – Datacenter & Workplace 80–100%

These are your tasks

• You are responsible for the design, operation, and further development of our enterprise networks (LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, Zero Trust) and ensure stability and performance through continuous monitoring, analysis, and optimization.
• You shape the ICT landscape of SZU holistically – from network to servers, storage, and virtualization to cloud solutions (Azure, M365, Entra ID).
• You implement security measures, patch and vulnerability management, and work with a cyber security team.
• You drive automation (PowerShell, IaC) and cloud transformation (SASE, ZTNA).
• You lead strategic ICT projects throughout the entire lifecycle including roadmaps and documentation.

These are your key competencies

• You have an ICT education (HF, FH, UNI) or equivalent qualification.
• You bring several years of proven experience as a Senior System Engineer focusing on network, security, and system operation.
• You have know-how in TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, VPN, DNS, DHCP, WLAN as well as with manufacturers like Cisco, HPE, Fortinet, Microsoft.
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, storage, and cloud services (Azure, M365, Entra ID).
• ITIL process understanding, project management skills.
• Are you enthusiastic about automation and scripting – and have you supported your know-how with certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, Fortinet NSE, Microsoft/Azure, or ITIL Foundation?
