The Clinic for Forensic Psychiatry (KFP) consists of the Expert Opinion Office, the Centre for Forensic Psychiatry Inpatient (ZFPS) and the Centre for Forensic Psychiatry Outpatient (ZFPA). The Expert Opinion Office produces numerous expert reports annually for official clients. The ZFPS includes six wards with a total of 74 beds, where mentally ill offenders are treated as part of court-ordered therapeutic measures (Art. 59 Swiss Criminal Code) and crisis interventions are carried out for patients from correctional and remand prisons. The ZFPA operates a forensic outpatient clinic and offers a prison psychiatric consultation and liaison service.

Profile

• You are characterised by high social competence, good communication skills, flexibility and resilience.
• University/Fachhochschule degree Master of Science in Psychology as well as a therapy training already started that is recognised by the Swiss Confederation or interest in completing such training
• Experience in forensic psychiatry is desirable
• Professional experience as a case-leading psychologist is an advantage
• Proven ability to work interdisciplinarily
• You are interested in further developing yourself in forensic psychiatry and psychology

Tasks

• You conduct integrative psychotherapies (disorder- and offence-oriented, supportive) in individual and group settings under senior psychological supervision
• You read the detailed files of your patients as a basis for therapy planning
• You write detailed therapy progress reports for the referring authorities
• You carry out risk assessments during the course of therapy
• Another focus of your work is interface collaboration with the referring judicial authorities
