The Intervention department ensures an effective and well-organised fire service structure in the canton of Aargau to respond appropriately to various emergencies and natural hazards. We are expanding the team and are looking for you:

Your tasks

Your tasksAs a specialist in the field of consulting and inspection, you play a central role in the further development and quality assurance of the fire service in the canton of Aargau. In addition, you represent the cantonal fire inspector.

• Performing the statutory duties of the Aargau Building Insurance in the area of consulting and inspection of fire brigades
• Advising and supporting fire brigades, municipalities and other partners on technical matters
• Organising and leading the inspection system as well as ensuring quality in the fire brigades
• Creating, reviewing and further developing guidelines, instructions and operational concepts
• Participating in legislative processes
• Technically reviewing regulations, agreements and other fire brigade foundations
• Ensuring professional cooperation with cantonal and national specialist offices, associations and organisations
• Performing sovereign tasks as well as planning and organising the intervention on-call service
• Working in the Cantonal Command Staff of the canton of Aargau as deputy for the fire service specialist area
• Leading and participating in internal and external project and working groups

Your profile

Your profile

• You have completed training at the advanced technical college (HF) level and further training as a fire service instructor.
• You have several years of experience in the fire service, are familiar with the particularities of a militia system and have experience in project management.
• You work analytically, conceptually and strategically, combining a structured way of thinking with a strong practical focus.
• You communicate clearly, appropriately for the level and with negotiation skills, and present yourself convincingly and assertively even in demanding situations. You act in a customer- and solution-oriented manner and understand how to appropriately consider different interests.
• You think with a future orientation, actively shape change and enjoy further developing the fire service. Cooperative and appreciative collaboration is a matter of course for you.
• You have a confident command of German in spoken and written form and meet the required security clearance by the Aargau Cantonal Police.
