Your main tasks
- Engineering, operation, and maintenance of customer infrastructures
- Competently supporting customers within the framework of Client Success Management
- Gathering and analyzing customer needs and designing innovative solutions in close collaboration with the Sales and Solution Team
- Creating concepts for (customer) projects
- Implementing customer projects (migration / new installation / configuration)
- Independently analyzing malfunctions and error conditions, initiating and monitoring measures to resolve them
- Maintaining system technical documentation and system overviews
- Pre- and after-sales support, supporting service teams and departments
- On-call service for our 7×24 customers
Your strengths and knowledge
- Experience in operating and engineering IBM i environments and the IBM Power platform (including HMC and PowerVM)
- You are familiar with all areas of the IBM i operating system (administration, work management, backup/recovery (BRMS), performance, security, CL programming, etc.)
- You work independently, responsibly, and result-oriented
- Fluent German as well as good English skills complete your profile.
The following qualifications would be an advantage
- Programming languages ILE RPG, COBOL, JAVA, etc.
- Knowledge of HA solutions such as iTera and MIMIX
- DB2 for i and SQL knowledge
- If you have already worked with AIX, IBM Spectrum Protect, IBM Storage, and SAN, that would be a good addition
