The collection systems affiliated with the Swiss Plastic Recycler Association (VSPR) and the industry organisation RecyPac have agreed on an important simplification regarding the collection and return of household plastics. It has been jointly decided that from 1 July 2025, filled plastic collection bags from VSPR-certified providers and RecyPac can be returned free of charge at all collection points – regardless of which provider supplied the bags.
This continuity has already been ensured within our Bring Plastic Back system for years. With the new regulation, convenience for the public will increase: from 1 July 2025, all chargeable plastic collection bags can be returned at a total of around 1000 collection points throughout Switzerland. This simplifies the system and is intended to further encourage the willingness to collect among the population.
