Start your career in environmental engineering! For our teaching and research operations in Wädenswil, we are looking for an intern who wants to gain practical experience for their bachelor's degree.
Department: Life Sciences and Facility Management
Start date: From February 1, 2026, limited to 6 months
- Support with various horticultural cultivation and maintenance tasks in the teaching and research gardens and the greenhouses of the institute
- Assistance with dismantling and assembly work for research and cultural facilities in the greenhouses and foil tunnels
- Collaboration in the implementation of events
- You have a specialized or gymnasium-level Matura or have successfully completed a non-specialized vocational apprenticeship.
- In addition to an interest in promoting flora and fauna and enjoyment of horticultural work, you bring an independent and team-oriented working style.

The teaching and research operations are responsible for the planning, further development, and management of the approximately 11-hectare university campus in Grüental. It maintains the diverse green spaces, cares for paths and squares, and manages greenhouses and foil tunnels. The staff of the teaching and research operations act as a link between research/teaching and practical implementation.
You can expect a varied garden with over 4,000 different plant species on a wide range of topics. You will gain basic knowledge of the most important horticultural cultivation tasks and learn about current research topics and practical assignments in teaching.
