About the job
In the paediatric radiology department at UKBB, we perform all imaging examinations such as sonography, fluoroscopy, X-ray, EOS, MRI and CT with state-of-the-art equipment directly on site. Our age range extends from prenatal imaging (fetal MRI) to adolescents. We are a dedicated team of 4 senior consultants and 5 assistant doctors, who value high personal flexibility and collegial cooperation. Professionally, we cover the entire spectrum of paediatric radiology, with special focus on paediatric neuroradiology and musculoskeletal radiology. As a senior consultant, you will take on background duties after daily work – during the week and at weekends comfortably from home.

Your Responsibilities
- In your role, you take a central function in radiological care and actively shape the further development of our department
- You independently perform radiological examinations – from premature infants to adults – including complex diagnostics such as CNS and fetal MRI
- You work interdisciplinarily with various specialist departments as well as with surrounding hospitals, thus contributing to a networked and high-quality patient care
- You are involved in the supervision and training of assistant doctors and promote their professional development
- You do not take on classic on-call duties but participate in telephone standby and provide second-level support for urgent emergencies if needed
- You conduct daily briefings
Your Profile
- You bring professional expertise and personal skills that make you a valuable asset to our team
- You hold a specialist title in radiology or an equivalent qualification
- You have solid experience in paediatric radiology – ideally with a focus on paediatric radiology
- You are a committed, flexible and team-oriented personality who acts independently and contributes actively
- You demonstrate high social and clinical competence and maintain collegial cooperation – both within the team and with other disciplines
- You have an interest in university teaching, further education and training, and wish to pass on and deepen your knowledge
