In this key role, you skilfully combine technology, strategy, and business development and drive innovations with real market impact. Your team provides tools and processes for efficient and economical project execution. Become part of our leadership team and sustainably develop business, products, and organisation. For a 70% workload, the working time is distributed over four working days per week.
Your new tasks
- You take overall responsibility for the team (department) – technically, personally, and strategically – and consistently develop it further
- As part of the leadership team at the department level, you shape the future of the train control business area and contribute impulses to the strategic direction
- You lead an interdisciplinary team of technology experts and software developers and develop it purposefully
- You recognise market trends, identify future customer needs, and derive new solutions and offerings from them
- You actively influence product developments (e.g. ETCS, ZSI127, ZSL90, ATO) from a technical and economic perspective and work closely with product management
- Together with your team, you initiate innovations such as new tools or simplified customer solutions in the engineering context
- You are responsible for the further development of processes, methods, and tools (including automation) for efficient project execution
Your talents and experience
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset as well as initiative and enthusiasm for innovation
- Assertive, reflective leadership personality who questions constructively and sets impulses
- Completed technical studies (FH/ETH) or equivalent, ideally complemented by business management training
- Solid understanding in the field of train control (e.g. ETCS/ERTMS, ZSI systems)
- Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams as well as in project work in a technical environment
- Affinity for business development and economic issues
- Very good German and English skills
