Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry of Advanced Age
The University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (SUPAA) is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (ICLS) at a 90% activity rate to strengthen its teams. The starting date is scheduled for 1 September 2026 or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital Centre (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
SUPAA is a specialised service with the mission to guarantee care, teaching, and research in the field of psychiatry for the elderly. Over its six decades of existence, SUPAA has diversified its structures and intervention methods to constantly improve its clinical services and maintain optimal continuity of care, teaching, and research.
It has thus developed outpatient structures (general consultations in psychiatry of advanced age, participation in memory consultations, trans-age interventional psychiatry), liaison psychiatry consultations for advanced age at CHUV, in regional hospitals of northern and western Vaud and in nursing homes, as well as mobile teams.
Mission
- You commit to knowledge transfer by actively participating in integrating research into care settings
- You develop a counselling, guidance, and training offer for both patients and care team members
- You actively participate in the development of ethical reflection around patient care
- You develop expert practice with patients and their relatives
- You identify and participate in analysing complex clinical situations of patients
- You ensure the effectiveness of therapeutic projects by integrating the requirements of interdisciplinary work into daily practice
- You participate in service projects and development
- You contribute to the development of research and the enhancement of nursing care.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Red Cross for foreign-qualified personnel (mandatory)
- You already hold a Master of Science in Nursing or are interested in following the ICLS Master training (mandatory)
- You have confirmed experience in a psychiatric care service
- You have good coaching and leadership skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with managers
- You have the willingness and aptitude to engage in interdisciplinary project implementation
- You have the ability to work autonomously in interface with other professionals
- You have a sense of responsibility, communication, initiative, organisation, and good adaptability skills
- You master French (oral/written level C1) and have the ability to read and understand scientific English
- You have advanced knowledge of office IT tools (Windows environment).
