As an ICT System Engineer with a focus on Building Informatics, you take on a central role: You ensure that our building-related ICT systems, clinical applications, and communication solutions function reliably, are operated securely, and remain technically up to date.
Your commitment guarantees that patients, nursing staff, therapists, and administration can collaborate efficiently around the clock – in an environment that combines innovation, responsibility, and team spirit.
System Operation & Support
- Operation, monitoring, and maintenance of building-related ICT systems (telephony, multimedia, alarm systems, access control systems, patient communication)
- Ensuring functionality, availability, and performance of all systems
- Support of IT infrastructure (servers, storage, network, virtualization, Microsoft environments)
- Error analysis, troubleshooting, and coordination with internal and external partners
- 2nd and 3rd level support for medical, therapeutic, and administrative specialist applications
Project Work & Development
- Planning, implementation, and documentation of ICT and building informatics projects
- Integration of new systems (e.g., alarm and communication solutions, Smart Hospital / Smart Rehab)
- Migration of services to Microsoft 365 / Azure, virtualization, and network expansion
- Digitization and automation of backups, monitoring, and patch management
- Implementation of interfaces (HL7, FHIR, OPC, SIP, REST API)
- Analysis and optimization of the system landscape
Administration & Processes
- Management of user accounts, alarm processes, and access rights
- Implementation of adjustments, extensions, and modifications
- Support in data protection, information security (DSG, HDSG), and compliance
- Maintenance of documentation, instructions, and knowledge database entries
Collaboration & Communication
- Close cooperation with ICT, building technology, medical technology, operations & infrastructure, as well as external service providers
- Technical contact person for clinic-related ICT and building informatics systems
- Participation in project meetings, workshops, and coordination rounds
Profile
Education & Experience
- Completed IT training (EFZ, HF, FH) or comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience as a system engineer, ICT supporter, or building informatics specialist
- Experience in healthcare or clinical environment is an advantage
Technical Knowledge
- Windows servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 / Exchange, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Network administration (LAN, WLAN, VPN, VLAN) and IT security (firewalls, endpoint protection, MFA / Zero Trust)
- Communication technologies (VoIP, Teams, alarm servers)
- Knowledge of clinical applications, patient data systems, and interfaces (HL7, FHIR, OPC, REST API)
- Project management, rollouts, system migrations
Personal Competencies
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style
- High sense of responsibility and independent working style
- Service orientation and strong communication skills, even in stressful situations
- Teamwork, willingness to learn, and openness to new technologies
Languages
- Very good German and English skills
- French skills are an advantage
