Your role at the head of the sector

With us, you will ensure the management of the libraries and toy library sector, spread over three sites. Under the authority of the head of service, you define its directions and supervise the main axes.

• Do you want to lead the sector across all sites, develop and update its establishment project, organise and plan activities, and define clear and coherent expectations aligned with its objectives?
• Do you wish to oversee the management and supervision of staff spread across several sites, in close collaboration with two team leaders, to ensure coordination between the libraries and the toy library to create synergies and develop the range of services?
• Are you able to prepare a budget, monitor and control it (invoices, revenues, variances) and ensure the application of tariffs?
• Are you keen to coordinate the cultural programming and raise the sector’s profile by developing and implementing its communication?
• Are you comfortable representing the institution and working closely with local and regional events, schools, and cultural institutions?

What you bring

• Bachelor of Science in Information and Documentation, university degree or equivalent training
• Proven experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a managerial role (supervision, coordination, project management), ideally in a similar or related sector.
• Additional training in management, public administration or project management, or proven experience in this field
• Ability to develop a strategic vision, mastery of budget management and administrative processes
• Knowledge of the Jura institutional framework and the network of French-speaking Swiss libraries, training or experience in the field of play (a decisive asset)
• Leadership, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work closely with team leaders; negotiation and diplomacy skills
• Strong communication skills, innovative mindset and ease with digital tools
