Catechist (20–25%)
The Old Town Churches of Zurich connect the traditional churches Grossmünster, Fraumünster, St. Peter and Predigerkirche in the very heart of Zurich. For our Children & Families Department we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a committed, warm-hearted and creative personality as
Your tasks
- Further development of offerings for children and families in collaboration with the "Children, Families and Youth" team of the Old Town Churches
- Planning and conducting religious education for grades 2 to 5
- Preparation and co-design of family services in close cooperation with the pastors
- Planning and leading various offerings for children and families such as "Singe mit de Chind", "Fiire mit de Chind" and "Gschichte Chischte"
- Planning, organisation and leadership of the annual Christmas play
- Maintaining contact with parents and families as well as communication regarding the offerings
- Organisational and administrative tasks as well as collaboration in relevant teams and bodies
Your profile
- Enjoyment in working with children and families
- Training as a catechist or a comparable religious pedagogical qualification – or willingness to acquire this alongside work
- Creativity, initiative and organisational skills
- Independent working style as well as strong teamwork skills
- Interest in church life and contemporary forms of work with children and families
