Polymechanic PLUS for Team Leadership in Grinding Wheel Production

Diamond is the hardest material in the world – we produce precision tools with it. In our small, solid company in Zürich-Affoltern (next to Oerlikon) we are looking for a polymechanic who will learn the craft of grinding wheel production with us and then lead a small team.

What it involves

• You plan and control our orders – from powder sintering, turning, bonding, dressing/grinding, finishing to final inspection. On the PC for production planning and in the workshop
• You gather existing knowledge, lead, coach the team and find solutions when things don’t go as they should.
• You also produce yourself, for one-offs and small series
• You optimise processes and take care of fixtures and aids
• You occasionally design simple parts in 3D.

Who we are looking for

• Polymechanic with a federal certificate of competence, preferably with further training (process specialist, vocational baccalaureate, higher technical college or similar)
• Leadership experience or training is an advantage
• Lead in a humane but assertive way and communicate appreciatively with a wide variety of people
• Organisational skills and the ability to keep an overview of orders, aids and deadlines
• Enjoy getting hands-on and also have a flair for work that takes place outside CNC machines on conventional machines
• Inventive, pragmatic and conscientious.
