The company is a regionally anchored public organisation with a diverse range of tasks and high responsibility towards various stakeholders. To fill a central key role, an experienced individual is sought as Head of Finance 80–100% from spring 2027 or by arrangement. In this role, you will lead a small team and bear overall responsibility for the organisation's financial matters. You will work closely with the management as well as various internal and external parties, actively contributing your expertise to financial and organisational issues.
Your tasks with the new employer:
- You will lead the finance department with three employees and, together with your team, ensure a professional and reliable finance and accounting system
- You will be responsible for the budget, annual accounts, and financial planning, as well as the management of financial resources and assets
- In addition to accounting, you will also be responsible for payroll and take on a central role in cross-cutting IT matters within the organisation
- As a competent contact person, you will work closely with management and advise various internal departments, authorities, and other stakeholders on financial matters
You offer your new employer:
- You have a commercial basic education as well as a federal specialist certificate in finance and accounting or a comparable further qualification in finance and controlling
- You bring several years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management, as well as sound knowledge of public administration
- Leadership experience is an advantage, and you convince through analytical and cross-departmental thinking, a good understanding of large data volumes, and a high IT affinity
- You are characterised by an independent and structured way of working, assertiveness, and resilience, and you appreciate exchange with employees as well as various internal and external contacts
