Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the Newsweek 2025 ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research, and education.
The Information Systems Department (DSI) manages a fleet of more than 12,000 workstations and nearly 200 critical business applications for patient care. Its teams ensure the availability, security, and performance of the hospital's information system. As an IT operator apprentice, you participate in this essential mission by discovering the various technical trades of the DSI through several internal internships (support, fleet management, infrastructure, networks, etc.)
Mission
- You install and connect IT devices (computers, printers, tablets, smartphones) in a network
- You configure operating systems, integrate simple programs and applications according to the institution's standards
- You maintain hardware, systems, and software, ensuring their proper functioning
- You test, update, and document your interventions to guarantee the reliability of the IT fleet
- You collaborate on IT projects carried out in teams (deployments, migrations, renewals)
- You ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with internal procedures.
Profile
- You have completed your compulsory schooling (good VG2 level or desired VP level)
- You are autonomous, methodical, and rigorous in your work approach
- You demonstrate logic and analysis skills and adapt easily to technical evolutions
- You enjoy solving problems, learning new technologies, and understanding system operations
- You have a good sense of service and enjoy collaborating in a team with users and technicians.
