The Zurich forest is a recreational area, a habitat for flora and fauna, and at the same time an important supplier of timber. The approximately 90 employees of the Forest Department are committed daily to the sustainable care and use of the forest in the Canton of Zurich.
Your tasks
- Accompany, process operational plans and support forestry planning processes
- Plan and organise forest conservation work together with the forest districts
- Prepare and professionally assess forest valuations
- Support the two forest districts in the enforcement of forest law
- Help shape forestry advisory services and bring together different interests into viable solutions
Your profile
- Qualification as a forester HF, forest engineer FH/ETH or an equivalent education as well as sound forestry practical experience
- Strong social and communication skills and enjoyment in working with different stakeholders
- Structured, independent and solution-oriented working style with the ability to handle several projects and processes in parallel
- Confident appearance and the ability to represent professional concerns objectively and convincingly
- Proficient use of common IT applications, team spirit and enjoyment of professional exchange
