The role of Impact’s Centre of Expertise (CoE) Manager is an important operational role, managing every aspect of the Foundation’s impact measurement and reporting activities. It is accountable for the full delivery of the Foundation’s impact measurement framework, associate metrics, KPIs and tools. It acts as the centre of expertise for every member of the Foundation’s team, Zurich BUs and our charitable partners on impact related matters. It is responsible for the planning, monitoring and reporting of our impact in the upmost standards in terms of quality, accuracy and control.
What you will do
Impact Measurement and Reporting
- Ensure that Z Zurich Foundation’s impact measurement framework and KPIs are embedded across all programs; ensure timely and accurate reporting of program performance.
- At the grant proposal stage, support pillar heads in evaluating impact measurement and targets. Review log frames, theories of change, indicators, baselines, targets, and data collection methods.
- Drive the Social Return on Investment (SROI) initiative by working closely with university and charity partners. Expand SROI measurement across our flagship programs and increase the number of initiatives achieving report assurance by Social Value International.
- Establish and lead the Impact Centre of Expertise for the Z Zurich Foundation, serving as the primary point of contact for impact-related discussions with charity partners and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Zurich Group on reporting and impact topics related to community KPIs.
- Lead the design, implementation, and analysis of ZZF surveys, including the Engagement Survey.
Monitoring, Evaluation and Knowledge sharing
- Ensure that Z Zurich Foundation impact measurement tools are fit for purpose delivering high-quality data collection and management.
- Collaborate with pillar heads to review and validate partner reports and data submissions.
- Support Zurich BUs with community-impact measurement related matters.
- Ensure the internal impact measurement knowledge hub is kept up to date.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree is required in a relevant field.
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience in relevant field.
- Experience working with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc) and Outlook is critical.
- Good collaboration skills with an understanding and appreciation for regional and local differences.
- Good communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Understanding of development programs design, implementation and evaluation.
- Strong measurement, analytical, systematic thinking, planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated interest in the philanthropy sector.
- Be passionate about numbers, operations and financial means being employed in the most efficient way to support the community.
- Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus.
