To support our ambitious growth journey, we are looking for an IoT Technology Director to lead the development of our cloud platform, data capabilities and operations teams. This is a high-impact leadership role at the crossroads of technology, innovation and business transformation. You will lead a multidisciplinary organization of more than 40 engineers and specialists and play a key role in defining the future of BOBST's digital solutions.

Your MissionAs a member of the IoT Leadership Team, you will drive the technology strategy, architecture and delivery of the BOBST Connect platform while partnering closely with the Iot Product Director to bring innovative solutions to market. You will lead teams based in Switzerland and Morocco and report directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

Key responsibilities

Lead and inspire

• Lead, develop and grow multidisciplinary IoT, Data Science and Operations teams (+40 people).
• Foster a culture of agility, collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Coach leaders and technical experts, ensuring the organization is equipped to deliver on its ambitions.

Drive technology excellence

• Own the technology roadmap and execution of the BOBST Connect platform together with the Iot Product Director.
• Define architecture, technology stack, cybersecurity and cloud strategies that ensure scalability, reliability and performance.
• Promote modern engineering practices including Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD and AI-enabled development approaches.

Create business impact

• Partner with Product Lines, Business Units and commercial teams to maximize customer value.
• Translate business needs into innovative digital solutions and services.
• Present strategic updates and recommendations to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

What You Bring

Experience

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a related field.
• More than 10 years of experience in software and digital product environments.
• At least 5 years leading large, distributed software development organizations, including nearshore or offshore teams.

Technical expertiseYou bring a strong background in several of the following areas:

• SaaS platforms and software development
• Cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred)
• IoT and edge connectivity
• Cybersecurity
• Data platforms and data science
• Agile delivery frameworks
• DevSecOps, CI/CD and software engineering best practices
