Head of Housekeeping with Vocational Training Experience (m/f/d)

The Office for Penal Enforcement of the Security and Justice Department employs around 260 staff in various professional fields. The Platanenhof youth home supports juveniles and young adults placed under civil and criminal law according to social-pedagogical principles and concepts. New social, educational, and professional development perspectives are developed with the youths in a closed or open setting.

For the in-house housekeeping area, we are looking for the following position for these diverse and responsible tasks starting January 1, 2026, or by agreement:

Head of Housekeeping with Vocational Training Experience (m/f/d)

Workload: 70%

Workplace: 9242 Oberuzwil

What to expect

• Independent management of the housekeeping operation (linen and cleaning) and leadership of the housekeeping team (155%) and active participation in these areas
• Supervision and support of the youths' work assignments in a professional context and assistance in further developing the in-house educational offerings
• Ensuring the required quality of housekeeping including compliance with hygienic, qualitative, and quantitative standards
• Assistance in organizing events and functions
• Budget responsibility and handling various administrative tasks
• Responsibility for the procurement of consumables in the housekeeping area
• Participation in the further development of the housekeeping area as well as in various projects

What distinguishes you

• Socially competent and responsible leadership personality, ideally with experience in a leadership role and/or as a vocational trainer
• Completed training in housekeeping/hospitality (housekeeping specialist EFZ, possibly area manager hospitality-housekeeping with federal certificate of competence)
• Interest in working with youths, including those with complex disorders
• Good MS Office application skills
• Openness to interdisciplinary collaboration and service orientation towards various stakeholders
• Solution-oriented thinking and acting
