The Negishi Sushi Bar, an innovative food concept by the Wiesner Gastronomie AG family, was founded in 2006 and has since secured a firm place in the hearts of sushi lovers. With a variety of creative sushi creations – from classic to vegetarian variations – the restaurant delights a wide range of guests. The venue in Basel on Stänzlergasse is one of the few with a so-called Kaiten, also known as a sushi conveyor belt, and has 80 seats indoors and 32 additional seats outdoors.

Training structure:
Practical training in several phases 🔪
Theoretical modules on topics such as product knowledge, sushi preparation, and fish processing 📖
Practical and theoretical exams 📝
Focus on solid basic knowledge and perfection 🧠
Preparation for the diverse world of Japanese cuisine 🌟
Your diverse tasks:
Preparing the mise en place for sushi production 🍣
Preparing various sushi and sushi platters 🎨
Ordering fish and vegetables according to internal guidelines 🛒
Checking incoming goods 🔍
Adhering to the hygiene concept according to HACCP 🧼
Your talents & experience:
Interest and passion for Japanese cuisine ❤️
At least 2 years of experience in the kitchen 🔪
Good German skills 🇩🇪
Valid work permit for Switzerland 📄
Flexibility (night shifts and weekend assignments) 🕒
👥 Personal: friendly, customer-oriented, team player, well-groomed appearance.
📌 Interest in Japanese culture and basic IT skills are an advantage. 🙂
