For our client, a leading global pharmaceutical company based in Basel, we are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemistry Scientist (m/w/d). The company operates as one of the world's leaders in pharmaceutical product design, manufacturing, and marketing, with particular expertise in oncology, immunology, and cardiovascular treatments.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive analytical strategies for small molecule drug substances and drug products throughout the development lifecycle
- Conduct thorough raw data reviews for externalized analytical activities and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Author and review critical analytical documentation including method development reports, validation protocols, stability assessments, and batch release documentation
- Coordinate scientific collaborations with internal teams and external contract research organizations, providing expert technical guidance
- Identify and resolve complex analytical challenges while proposing innovative solutions to support project timelines
- Ensure adherence to GMP guidelines, standard operating procedures, and quality directives in all analytical activities
- Communicate findings effectively to analytical project leaders and cross-functional development teams
Your Profile
- Advanced degree (PhD preferred, Master's minimum) in analytical chemistry or related scientific discipline
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience with demonstrated expertise in GMP environments for development or commercial products
- Extensive knowledge of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, LC-MS, and statistical evaluation software
- Proven expertise in analytical data documentation, method validation, and stability reporting
- Strong scientific background in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or analytical methodologies with ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
- Proficient in laboratory management systems, quality management tools, and standard computer applications
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Experience with inhaled dosage forms is highly advantageous
