Head of Department: Structural Engineering / Civil Structures 80-100%

Tasks and Responsibilities

Building and leading as well as strategically further developing a team in the field of Structural Engineering / Civil Structures
Planning and realisation of demanding projects in bridge construction and structural engineering - from new builds to complex repairs
Responsibility for costs, quality and deadlines as well as ensuring efficient and successful project execution
Developing innovative solutions together with the team, tailored to the technical requirements and needs of the clients
Acquisition and business development through active participation in client acquisition and bridge competitions

Your Profile

Degree in Civil Engineering (ETH/FH) and at least 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering, ideally in bridge construction
At least 5 years of leadership experience is an advantage, as well as a cooperative leadership style and the ability to motivate and specifically develop employees
Sound knowledge of structural design and relevant Swiss standards
Experience in independently managing demanding projects with responsibility for costs, quality and deadlines
Experience and enthusiasm for building high-performance teams, promoting employees and actively shaping a future-oriented department
Fluent German skills and a confident manner in dealing with clients and project partners
Good English and French skills are an advantage
Knowledge of the structural analysis software AXIS, Cubus and/or Sofistik is an advantage
