The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. The surveying group at PSI is responsible for versatile surveying tasks in the environment of our research and large-scale facilities. This includes, in particular, the surveying and adjustment of accelerator facilities, beam guidance components, and experimental setups in an international and interdisciplinary environment.
For our surveying group, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Planning and execution of demanding surveying and adjustment tasks at research and large-scale facilities
- Advising staff from design, manufacturing, and science on surveying and adjustment tasks
- Operation and further development of measurement applications within the existing surveying team
- Creation of suitable measurement concepts for smaller and larger projects
- Performing precise measurements with surveying instruments such as laser trackers and theodolites
- Evaluation, interpretation, and documentation of the measured data sets
Your profile
- Completed studies in geomatics at FH/ETH level (Bachelor or Master)
- Practical experience in engineering surveying, ideally in industrial surveying or a comparable technical environment
- Familiarity with precision surveying and measurement tasks in complex facility environments
- Enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams as well as accompanying smaller and larger projects
- Independent, precise, and structured working style with a pronounced analytical and methodical approach
- Very good communication skills in German and English
