Does your mind run deployment planning like Swiss clockwork, while engines roar and hydraulic oil is in play all around you? You have no desire for a dry office in an ivory tower but want to be where the real construction machinery power hits the track? Then you are exactly right in our workshop in Hegnau ZH! Our motto is: "Geit nid gits nid".
We are not looking for an administrative clerk, but the strategic hub as
Workshop Manager / Head of Workshop Administration Construction Machinery
(100%)
Your mission - get stuck in with passion and grip
- You pull the strings for the entire 13-member team (7 mechanics in the areas of small equipment, cylinder bench and large equipment, 2 forwarding staff, 3 apprentices and 1 team leader).
- You accept orders, estimate the effort, prioritise wisely and assign the work specifically to the appropriate professionals – so that spare parts and seal kits are ready on time before the first screw is turned.
- Together with the team leader, you manage the training of our 3 apprentices, let them rotate through all areas including the hose centre and review their educational reports.
- You keep an eye on logistics, the hose centre and the loading of our machines, advise customers on tricky technical problems, calculate repairs and approve reports as well as workshop budgets.
- You make competent decisions directly on site, take overall responsibility for occupational safety (while the team leader carries out the inspections) and keep the operation economically on course.
- We grow together: You conduct qualification discussions, plan further training, overcome boundaries within the team and celebrate successes just as much as the well-earned end of the working day.
Your background with edges, corners and insight
- Completed apprenticeship as a construction machinery, agricultural machinery or truck mechanic EFZ, ideally complemented by relevant leadership experience and administrative knowledge.
- Practical experience in the construction machinery industry and genuine enjoyment in leading and developing a motivated team.
- An open ear for customers and your team as well as the ability to keep an overview and clearly prioritise orders even under high workload.
- Solid understanding of modern workshop organisation, work preparation (AVOR) as well as storage and logistics processes.
- You live a loyal leadership tandem with the team leader, listen carefully, implement decisively and meet everyone in the team at eye level.
What awaits you with us
- The top class of the construction machinery industry in a well-rehearsed operation with top infrastructure, modern hose centre and own forwarding team.
- A well-coordinated team and a team leader at your side who has your back.
- Real values and a doer culture: flat hierarchies, open doors, sustainable resource management and a lot of trust in your decisions.
- A fair employment package with good social benefits, 13 monthly salaries, 40-hour week, at least 25 days holiday as well as further training opportunities.
- An environment where we are proud of our work, share experiences and also celebrate joint successes properly.
